If Only Europe Is Within Reach
The last few days have been a scorcher.
Yesterday, because I wore my dark blue jeans on an outing, my whole legs felt like they were being burned. Doing laundry was a breeze as even a couple hours of the afternoon sun was enough to dry my whole batch. As to those folks who had to work under this kind of sun, I can only say that I hope they take a lot of water.

And not to go jogging at noon - which was one weird sight that we saw on the road yesterday. I wonder if that man has ever heard of heatstroke.
Our explanation on why anyone would want to brave the hot sun to jog in the middle of the day is perhaps because the jogger had just returned from a country with temperate season such as England, where a quick check at the BBC Weather Centre stated that the current temperature is an enviably 23°C!
Anyway, speaking of England, those of you who are planning to visit your family who are studying there, do check the reasonable rates from one of the site with the widest hotel coverage (it offers worldwide hotel bookings) to get reasonable rates for hotels in London or hotels in Manchester and all other cities with universities.
As for those university students who plan to tour Europe and specifically France and Holland, be sure not to limit yourself to hotels in Paris or hotels in Amsterdam as there are probably more charming hotels in the outskirts of these cities - and I'm saying this because my one trip to Paris was spoilt by seeing charming hotels in France's beautiful countryside only to be asked to stay in character-less hotels with views of buildings, crowd and traffic jams!

How nice if planning a trip to Europe is as easy as flying to Singapore - especially now when it's so hot and humid here, while it's only 23°C in London!
