Their Michael Jackson Story

Parents and students got our temperatures taken, sanitizers squirted on our hands and stickers pasted on our sleeves. There were tensed faces here and there but overall, everyone seemed eager to get back to school.
But H1N1 was not the hottest story that Eu brought home.
As soon as we reached the car, she asked me who Michael Jackson was.
I had expected her very singer-savvy friends - the same bunch of friends who introduced her to a certain “Lady Gaga” whom I’ve had no idea of at that time - to mention the news of his passing. So I asked her what they said because I was curious to know how her friends would explain about death.
But instead, she said her friend “Saw Michael Jackson in Miri”.
Right.

But last Tuesday, we had one thing in common as we both delivered our daughter
My neighbour complained that her own daughter wore bare back shirts during her confinement that irritated her to no end - and my mother countered by complaining about how lax I am about wearing slippers when walking on the cold tiles floor (not to mention not wearing sweaters in the bedroom when the air con is on).
Unlike most troupe that usually visited our home, this "lion" danced into our living room, getting the kids all excited.

LOL!
By the way, you are not alone. My 2 girls suddenly know how to moon walk after MJ’s passing. Both learn after a weekend away at my KB home.
